Absolutely. The two pieces work together as a full-body system, but each can be used independently depending on where your dog needs support.
Many owners start with the rear piece alone for hip and hindquarter weakness, then add the front when needed.
Start slow. Let your dog sniff and investigate the harness before putting it on.
Put it on for just a few minutes at first indoors with lots of calm praise and a treat reward.
Most dogs associate it with going outside very quickly — and once they feel the support it provides, many actually get excited when they see it come out.
